    Does the same thing happen if you disable all of your third-party Addons and Products?

    Please use the config file to disable the plugin system.

    To do this, edit your vBulletin config.php file currently on the server by adding the following line after the <?php line:

    define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

    Then reupload the config.php file into your forum's includes folder.

    Afterward, go to the ACP -> Plugins & Products and under both 'Manage Products' and 'Plugin Manager' disable all non-vB products and plugins.

    Make sure to go to both the 'Manage Products' and 'Plugin Manager' locations.

    Then remove that line from the config file.

        Now I have two problems. After I tried to solve the previous problem, this has now appeared.

          What did you do to try to solve the previous problem? Just disable hooks?
          If that didn't fix the original issue you can re-enable them for now.

                Ok, so if you disabled hooks both in the admincp and in the config file, and it didn't fix your original problem, but caused a new problem, I suggest reverting that (enabling them again).

                  I already reversed everything but a new problem arose, garbled characters.

                  I want now to solve the problem with the garbled characters.

                    This is so frustrating and tiring. I bitterly regret having migrated to the vbulletin. I would not recommend it to anyone, it is terrible.

                    I could not solve anything so I restored a backup of the forum. Now the quickreply buttons have disappeared, the edit and answer buttons with quote no longer respond.

                      What changed on your server to break things? Make sure the server is not using PHP 7.2 or higher. Your version of vBulletin does not support anything higher than 7.1.

                      The problem with the unreadable characters has been resolved but now I have this problem.

                      The gray area and the buttons are gone from the advanced editor in the chorme browser. In firefox it is displayed.
