    [Forum] vBulletin 4.2.5 Facebook plaform

I have this enabled on one forum although I'm not sure whether it has ever worked correctly.

I find the settings at Facebook to be very confusing, though, and now I have received several notices like this one:
Your App, vBulletin link, currently has access to Graph API v2.6 which will reach the end of its 2-year lifetime on 13 July, 2018. To ensure a smooth transition, please migrate all calls to Graph API v2.7 or higher. Use the API Upgrade Tool to understand exactly how this change will impact your app.

Note: If you do not see any impacted calls in the API Upgrade Tool, your app/code may not be affected by this upgrade.

Visit our changelog to see the full list of changes in all Graph API versions.
You can view this and other Developer Notifications related to your app, in the App Dashboard.
My question is what do I need to do to comply with these messages? Facebook support has not been helpful and when following the link to the API Upgrade Tool is at best uninformative.

    Any suggestions?

vBulletin 4 is end of life and no longer being developed, so it is unlikely that Facebook Connect will continue to work for any length of time since Facebook are constantly changing their code.

You will need to consider using the services of a third party coder to make any required changes to vBulletin 4's code.

Never mind. I found out where to change the API version. You need to log in to the Facebook Developers dashboard and click on Advanced under settings. You can change the API version there.

      Thanks anyway.

Glad you have it working, but my point remains valid for the future. There will almost certainly come a time when vB4's Facebook integration will break, either partially or completely, without changing the code.

Understood. But I have no interest in purchasing vBulletin 5. If it comes to that, and I still think I need Facebook connect, I'd probably switch to Xenforo.

          Thanks for your comments, Mark.
