[Forum] Character encoding problem since PHP upgrade - i.e. £ displays as ?

I've just upgraded my server to PHP 7.0.27 and MySQL 5.6.37, however I'm getting some odd issues with character encoding.

For example, every GBP £ symbol on the site now reads as a question mark ?

    Using vBulletin 4.2.5

Note: If I insert "£" then £ displays correctly.

    Thanks in advance

Found the solution. For the benefit of others......

AdminCP -> Languages & Phrases -> Language Manager. Edit your language settings and set 'HTML Character Set' to UTF-8

    Mine was set to ISO-8859-1

Thanks for posting this. I had the same problem. Found my settings to be the same. Changed it and that also fixed the problem for me.
