    500 internal server error trying to log in to my boards admin control panel??

    I also cant delete threads, it just keeps going and going and finally gives me the 500 internal server error,

    a little backstory, I moved my website on the 29th from my old hosting company to my new hosting company, and it tool me like 5 days to get it up and running.

    this is what I get when i try to access my admin control panel or delete threads
    ================
    Internal Server Error

    The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

    Please contact the server administrator at [email protected] to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.

    More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

    Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    ==========================

    NOTE- I DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO MY ADMIN CONTROL PANEL, is there another way to access it other than through the Admin link on my board?

    thanks.

    500 is a generic server error. You'd need to check the server error logs to find the actual error.

    What version of vBulletin are you running, and what version of php? It's important that the two are compatible.

        Your issue is right there....for php 5.6, you need to be running at least vB 4.2.3.

            Your host would need to sort that. However, it's not recommended as that would require php 5.3 which old and insecure and unsupported.

            It would be better to upgrade to 4.2.3 specifically. In your situation, and particularly if you have any modifications, I'd stick at 4.2.3 rather than 4.2.4 or 4.2.5, for now.
