    [Forum] Illegal string offset 'name'

A couple of days ago this message started popping up at the very top of my board, although everything seems to work just fine. Nothing was installed on my end and nothing has changed. I am running version 4.2 for quite some time.

The server is running PHP 5.6.32

    This is the exact error"

Warning: Illegal string offset 'name' in [path]/includes/functions.php on line 6988

Any ideas and I would be very grateful!! Thanks much!

If you have not upgraded to vBulletin 4.2.5, please do so. If you are running vBulletin 4.2.5, make sure all your add-ons are up to date and turn off "display_error" in PHP. If you cannot edit your php.ini file, your hosting provider can make the change for you.
