    Advertising in Mobile Style

    Hi Folks!

So I'm using built-in Advertising Manager with my forum, but am not seeing the ads on the Mobile templates when folks use that on their device. Any help?

    Thanks!

The ads don't carry over to the mobile style, you have to manually edit the templates. When we were on vB4 we used this information and we managed to put ads at the top of the mobile version, hope it helps:

Thanks for taking the time to find that and to post!

Is seems like this would be a built in feature given that mobile and pad devices are predominant. The post you led me to is five years old and I'm wondering if this has been addressed in another area I haven't been able to find?

It may have been Paula but if it was we never found it. We were on 4.2.2 until a few months ago and struggled to do much with the mobile site as regards advertising.

It's built into v5 or should I say v5 is responsive, rather than having a mobile version. It works beautifully on there but then of course you would have to upgrade.

Hopefully someone from support will be able to advise you if there are later options for v4.

        Good luck

It has been addressed in vBulletin 5, yes.

vBulletin 4 is no longer being developed.

vBulletin 4.X hasn't been under active development for almost 5 years now. Active development is focused on vBulletin 5.

              Was it fixed on VB5?

vBulletin 5 works completely differently. It uses a "responsive" style, which means it resizes itself based on the screen size. You add adverts to modules and drag them to where you want them on the page. You can also set these modules to display in all screen sizes, or just some of them.

widgetinstance 262 (Related Topics) skipped due to lack of content & hide_module_if_empty option.
