Thread disappears from view / timeline after reading or posting

After upgrading to 4.2.4 members are reporting that the thread disappears from view / timeline after reading or posting

Is there a setting to disable this from happening so that it always shows?

Thanks in advance for any guidance

    Kind regards

    Glenn

Sounds like you were using cookie based thread marking. This is obsolete and has been removed. Database thread marking is how it works now. These are updated immediately and will carry across devices.

New Posts is not supposed to show you posts that aren't new. That it did previously was down the the cookie based marking.

For a list of threads updated that day, regardless of whether they are new or not, use Today's Posts.

      Thanks Mark

Members loved the old way - will advise them it's not coming back

I see the benefits of carrying across devices

I haven't checked this but I think in 4.2.4 the option to turn it back on is still there. It's just the setting was changed in the upgrade.
In 4.2.5 I believe the option is removed altogether.
