Infraction system - User not reinstated upon expiration(s)

    Hi all!

Like the title says, when someone's expiration date is up, they are not being "auto-moved" back to their primary usergroup. There is no way for us to know unless we go in and manually check it. Any clues as to what could be causing this?

Here's an earlier post (a few years ago) that went unanswered. It contains more info. Thanks!

Has the user dropped below the points specified in the Ban? If the points don't expire, the ban doesn't. Check your infractions and make sure they are not set to "Expires: XX Never".

Yes, the points expire/expired. But for some reason, they do not get "unabanned" after their timeout is over.

Then your scheduled tasks aren't running properly. You have regular traffic to the site and the cronimage variable exists in the footer template of your style?

The actual code looks like this:
        Code:
<!-- Do not remove cronimage or your scheduled tasks will cease to function -->
            {vb:raw cronimage}
<!-- Do not remove cronimage or your scheduled tasks will cease to function -->
If someone doesn't load a page of your site every 15 minutes, the Scheduled Task system can easily get behind schedule.

You can run the "Restore Temporarily Banned Users" scheduled task manually in the AdminCP. It is under Scheduled Tasks -> Scheduled Task Manager.

            Hi Wayne!

I just checked and it appears that "Restore Temporarily Banned Users" is not on the Scheduled Task Manager at all! This explains a lot. I have never removed or edited anything on the Scheduled Task Manager....

What I "do" see is Infractions Cleanup (Removes expired infractions twice an hour). I did an auto-run on this, but it didn't fix anything or unban users whose infractions have expired.

I did ensure that the code you mentioned above is in the footer.

While browsing around, it appears someone had the same issue a few years ago.

You should have a 'Restore Temporarily Banned Users' task. If not, please raise a support ticket with full admincp and sftp credentials, and we'll try to add it back for you.

Thanks! Just a note: It was never there.
