    disallow googlebot from eny vbulletin forum

    Hi
    I want disallow googlebot from eny vbulletin form

    i know dot it forom robots.txt but i dont know disallow for eny form

    for example in this site (vbulletin.com) on the picture uploaded, i want disallow googlebot from tow form

    how can i do it?

    If I understand the question correctly..

    Go to AdminCP >> Forums and Moderators >> {select the forum you want to block}

    Edit the forum (Go).

    Scroll down to:
    Index New Posts in Search Engine (Setting this to 'No' will prevent anyone from being able to search in this forum)
    Set to "No".

    To make doubly sure:

    Go to AdminCP >> Forums and Moderators >> Forum Permissions

    Edit permissions for "Unregistered / Not Logged In" so that they can't view the forum. That will ensure that search bots can't even see the forum.

      The above won't prevent Google. Google will index any forum that a guest can view. That setting only tells vBulletin not to include it in the local search engine.

      If you want guests to view but not Google then add the URL of the forum(s) to your robots.txt and disallow Googlebot.

      Otherwise, edit your permissions so guest users can't view the forum.

        Thanks for confirming. I wasn't sure how well the first setting would work; that's why I added the second part.
