    Reply With Quotes broken.

Hi there. I am running 4.2.2 patch 6 on a reasonably customized forum at forum.russellstreetreport.com

Something has broken and when clicking on 'Reply With Quote'. I just get a spinning graphic and nothing happens. I have also lost paragraphing. The resulting post is one long para. I have also lost my formatting bar in the reply box.

    What I have tried:
Uploaded complete new install and did an update- Quotes still don't work (with active plugins).
Disabled Hooks in config.php Quotes now work.
Re-enabled Hooks but killed all products and plugins from AdminCP - Quotes stop working.
Created new default style with no parent - Quotes work again.

One thing to note is that with the Microsoft Edge browser, the site isn't broken at all, but in Firefox and Chrome (haven't tried IE or Safari) quotes don't work.

So obviously I have hosed something in my templates or files.

Can someone give me a clue where to start looking?

    Thanks very much.

Have you checked the error log server side?

      What is your php version?

If it is higher than php 5.4 then you will need to upgrade vBulletin to 4.2.4 or 4.2.5.

Hi Mark and thanks for your response. My PHP version is 5.3.29

Some more info. We attempted to migrate to an SSL/HTTPS secure site over the past weekend but for reasons that had nothing to do with vB we switched back temporarily. I made a few changes to some templates related to the occurances of "http" but reverted them back. This seems to be somehow related. Maybe.

It does also appear that we have lost the formatting bar in the reply box.

        So to summarise:
Reply to quotes broken - edit if you click it twice, it does work.
        Line Return/Paragraphing is broken.
No formatting bar in the reply box.

Is there any commonality to these three issues I wonder?

Thanks again for your help. If you want, I can PM you some admin creds.

Sounds like javascript failures. What do the developer tools in Chrome and Firefox say? Press F12 and try to complete the actions.

When I load your site, I get a 404 error on a file called tapatalkdetect.js. This can cause all Javascript to fail if it isn't written properly.
