    vBulletin 4's Current Status?

    Hello,

I came back to vBulletin after some time and I wanted to ask, what's the current status of this product? I read a lot about it being discontinued. So, I was wondering, if it's still possible to get some help or answers on these forums.

    Regards,

It's not 'discontinued' - but it is not the current product line, and is not being developed - no new features will ever be added to it, and no more bug fixes (beyond what Paul is currently doing with 4.2.5) will be put into it.

It will remain supported by the support team to the extent that we can (in other words, we will support it but we cannot recode the product for you if something breaks because it's old).

It is currently receiving updates to make it php 7 compatible, and it will continue to receive security updates if needed, but that will be all.

Thank you for your answer. May I ask 1 last thing: what's the current most up-to-date stable release?
