Did you try reuploading the /install directory and running the upgrade.php script?

I downloaded the latest 4.2.3 just to make sure I was using the latest. I uploaded the install and ran the installer script - it presented me with a series of errors/warnings basically that the script was expecting 4.2.3 components and instead seeing 4.2.3 patch 2 components, and I clicked to Ignore.
It ran through the upgrade 100%, I deleted the install folder, and now everything appears normally! So that should be it I hope. Thanks!Comment

I've tried to follow the instructions to install vBulletin 5.0.4 twice now. When I try to run the install.php script it just gives me a blank page.
