    vBulletin 4.2.4

    Beta 3 was released yesterday, which includes the latest security fixes.

    Note that 4.2.4 requires php 5.5.0 as a minimum, however, it is not supported on php 7.

                  The next release will be RC 3 (sometime in the next two weeks).

                  After that it should be the final release, assuming nothing major is discovered, that will likely be around April / May time.

                        Paul, my server says that the latest stable version they offer of php is 5.4 but it does show 5.5 as being available. What kind of risk would I be taking by switching to 5.5 when vb 4.2.4 is in full release if the server is still offering an unstable version of php 5.5?

                          From the FAQ's ;

                          vBulletin 4.2.4 requires PHP 5.5.0+ and MySQL 5.0.0+
                          You really need to speak to your host, they are years out of date.
                          PHP 5.4 is old and unsupported now, and PHP 5.5 is not only stable, its also EOL now.

                          The current (stable) versions of PHP are 5.6, 7.0 & 7.1
