[Forum] Disable automatic email communications to specific users or groups

Hi!
I need to disable email communications to specific users or groups (better if I add a user to a group), I mean that I've users that don't wanna receive pm/messages/topic/other and birthday mail, how can I disable it?

I'm sure that they still want receive "recovery account mail"

Sorry, there is no function to do this. This requires modifying the code. We cannot officially support code modifications or forums running modified code, however you can try searching or asking for help with this over at www.vbulletin.org.

They can unsubscribe from emails on their UserCP Options page by changing their Default Thread Subscription Mode to Online Only. They can also remove what they subscribe to in their UserCP to remove emails as well.

For the birthday email, they won't receive one if they or you remove their birthday from their profile.

You can disable birthday emails globally by turning off the Scheduled Task for sending them in the AdminCP under Scheduled Tasks -> Scheduled Task Manager. Just uncheck the box on the left and click "Save Enabled Status". You cannot disable it on a per user basis.

I know this is an old thread. However I would like to know if users can be remove themselves from receiving birthday emails?
I know you can turn birthday emails off globally but I have some users that like the idea of receiving birthday emails.

I could do that but I would rather keep there birthday on file.
So what your saying is there is not other way?
If they are log into their settings USERCP and Uncheck the block that says "Receive Email from Administrators", will this stop them from getting birthday emails?

There is no way to disable Birthday emails per user or group. You can eliminate it for the entire site or remove the birthday information from individual accounts.
