[Forum] user account cannot times out when creating new thread

I am super admin on a forum and my account is broken. When I try to create a new thread, it times out or gives a 500 Internal Server Error. It's my account, does it on all browsers, all computers, all locations. I can log out and use one of my test accounts just fine.

I've tried opening my account in admincp, making a change, then saving it but no improvement. I've tried running most of the update counter functions with no improvement, checked database for problems, etc etc.

When I run Update User Names, it hangs and ends with a white screen, assuming because I'm user #1. Fix broken profiles finds nothing.

This happened about a week ago when Adobe Flash crashed in the middle of starting a thread. How that's related baffles me, but after that crash, I wasn't able to create the thread and thought the forum had been hacked so shut it down and did a lot of checks but realized everyone else was fine, it was just me.

Ideas? I'd rather not create new username after 7+ years.

500 Server Eerror means just that - it's a server error of some sort.

    Could be mod_security.

Check your server logs to see what errors are being logged when you get these problems, and ask your host if there's anything relating to your username that could be trigerring mod_security rules.
