[Forum] What is the core of the general GRIPE with 4.2?

I am just curious.... for someone who doesn't care for CMS and wants FBOOK login capabilities, what is really wrong with 4.2? I tried to look at alot of the support complaints and overall issues of 4.2 and i summarized with following

    > PHP version support (critical for most)
    > CMS issues (critical if using CMS)
    > Lack of effort with bug release that is stuck in tracker

Is this the gist of it?

I want to migrate from 3.8 just for FBOOK login capabillities which I had until my 3.8 plugin from vb.org went un supported... which killed alot of my callback traffic from facebook.

Don't really want to wait a couple months for VB5 when it gets finalized and key plugins get updated.... OR is there a working vb 3.8 fbook login plugin somewhere?

    4.2 is pretty solid atm

4.2 was our most well received release in a while.
It added many great new features, including the much-requested Navbar Manager.

4.2 is great - I was very frustrated at first, because i had a heavily modded site.

The main thing I will say is - Say good by to all of your precious mods that made your site awesome!

A quick note - If you have AME on your site, and you upgrade. All of you videos will be just jubberish text.....

          Many mods have been converted.
Many that haven't simply require some template work to make them work.

AME works on my 4.2 site just fine. Upgrading from 3.x to 4.x with AME simply requires upgrading AME as well. The current vB4 version of AME is old but works.
