    I'd actually recommend using .htaccess to have all traffic forced to the www or non-www version of your URL as desired.
    Vote for:

    - Admin Settable Paid Subscription Reminder Timeframe (vB6)
    - Add Admin ability to auto-subscribe users to specific channel(s) (vB6)

          I came here today with the exact same issue and I found your thread! With that .htaccess file, did you just place that file in the root of your site?
