[Forum] Language Pack Installation

Dear vB Users,

I'm trying to install the german language pack onto my forums, however, every time I try and do this, the language pack overwrites the english pack, and I'm having to re-install the english pack.

Am I missing something?

Go to AdminCP -> Languages & Phrases ->Download / Upload Languages.

Under 'Import Language XML File' you search your computer for the language file, choose 'Create New Language' for 'Overwrite Language'. That should be it.

I did that, and it still is overwriting my english language pack

Which language pack to you use?
Note: There is a language pack for costum language and master language of vBulletin.

I believe I am using the master one. Do i need the custom one?

Yes, you need to install the custom one otherwise you will overwrite the master language
