I had a hard drive crash...no problem....script running that backs up the entire server.
The backup different boot sectors so I cannot just boot from back up.
New drive put in.....now begins the moving of files from the backup to the new system.
All websites re-created in cPannel with the same username and password.
All email accounts re-created in cPannel
All databases re-created in cPannel with same password and username.
I KNOW that all of the data listed in var/lib/mysql/NAME_OF_DATABASE must be moved from the backup to the new drive.
I KNOW that all of the files in home/SITENAME/attachments must be moved from the backup to the new drive.
I KNOW that all of the files in home/SITENAME/Public_HTML must be moved from the backup to the new drive.
And that is where I start getting fuzzy??????????
My HOST company does not know much about VB....and as such.....they are telling me that I have to only do that...and it will work....but they did not even know about the "attachments" folder.......
That makes me wonder.....WHAT ELSE DO THEY NOT KNOW ABOUT????
It is this that I'm asking.....what else needs to be moved to make this work?????
Thank you for your support....I will pass on what ever you tell me to them.
Yours,
Kirk
