I used the email manager to day to send some emails to some recent members. I wanted to personalize it so, I included the $username variable, but when the emailed were received (I have an account that got one), the $username was not resolved. Bug? Configuration issue?

Bump! Anyone have any ideas why email sent via my (new) VB install does not seem to resolve user name when using $username in the email:
Dear $username
Hi, blh blh blah....
When the email is received (by my test user) the $username is still there but the user actual name is not there. -
That could mean that the variable is not available at that part of the process.No private support, only PM me when I ask for it. Support in the forums only.Comment
