    • mysql type: mysqli
    • php: 5.4.3
    • mysql: 5.5
    • mysql DB Collation: gbk_chinese_ci
    i added a language named chinese(CN) and set :

    Language Code = zh || Language Code = zh-CN
    HTML Character Set = gbk_chinese_ci

    but when i Post a New Thread, the editor doesn't work,it disappear

    then, i change the language code to en, the editor works

    i see clientscript/ckeditor/lang/zh.js* exist, but why it doesn't work for my site?

      Try using UTF-8 for the database and the charset. Note there is a line in the config.php file you must uncomment to enable UTF-8.

      That should work for most things- however vBulletin 4.x is not fully compatible with UTF-8, for example Search will not work correctly.

      VB5 has better UTF-8 compatibility.
