Is there a way a user of a forum can edit their own posts and no one elses with no time limit on it?

No, there is no option for that. You would need to either edit the code or install a modification for that.

You can allow the registered usergroup to be able to edit posts for say a year. Then create a plugin that restricts all forums except your classified forums to a more reasonable edit time, for example 24 hours.Comment

We didn't make any changes to these permissions.
Usergroup settings are yes they can edit own posts, and 0 for unlimited time. But no edit ability appears on their posts. -
I just found that one of my users had deleted the contents of all her old posts. This is not desirable because my forum relies on keeping a record of all discussions, however old.
