4.1.7 - CMS main page: takes a long time to load, spikes server

    [CMS] 4.1.7 - CMS main page: takes a long time to load, spikes server

    The title describes the problem: the main page of the vBulletin CMS (4.1.7 in my case) takes much longer to load than any of the individual forum pages. When I visit the page, I get a slight server load spike that I don't get on forum pages.

    http://www.cyburbia.org/ - not image heavy or query heavy, I don't think.

    Anyone else having similar problems?

      Please consider upgrading to 4.1.12 or 4.2.0. There have been more bug fixes since the current version you're on.

          I had a very difficult time with the 3.8.* to vBulletin 4.1.7 upgrade; I think you were one of the staff that helped me with the upgrade. Would an upgrade be relatively straightforward?

              It would be far far easier than the 3.8 to 4.1.7 upgrade.

              Backup
              Upload new files
              Run upgrade script.

              Should be fairly painless.
