[Forum] How to mass delete and report spam in Private Messages

When i go to moderate thread i have the function to delete and report as spam and ban for all time. But when it comes to PM i do not have that function i have to go each of these MANY people who use the functions to sent spam that luckily ended up in moderated.

You could delete them directly from the database using eg. phpmyadmin.

Maybe you want to check your settings for the human verification manager to decrease new spam accounts.

Why is there not a function like the normal threads? Yes i have a human question as well but i guess i have to change it or something. I am getting loads of PM spam. How do i make a group for permanent ban like they do when i ban them in threads?

I don't know why there isn't a feature, maybe because it wasn't a problem in the past.
I recommend to use a question related to your site and/or don't use an answer where people have to enter a number. Spambots just try every number until they are successful.

Please can you clarify your last question. I don't get it, sorry.

I already have a questions related to my sites so that is not the issue. Maybe i should change the questions sometimes the bots might be into me. I mean how do i make a NEVER ENDING BAN USERGROUP.

You should have an usergroup called banned members.
In your User infraction manager you should see this group under the setting group "Automatic ban". Click on edit -> Lift Ban After -> Choose Permanent - Never Lift Ban
If you move user manually from an usergroup do 'banned members' they are banned permanently.

I only have one and that one could only do ban for 2 years even if i doubt this people come back. What is best ban them or delete them?

I am getting loads of PM spam.

PM's don't have inline moderation because pm's are only between two people. An admin cannot go into others pm's and see the spam.

But when i go to moderation i can see the inside of the message since i see all the Rolex and Viagra links inside.
