[Forum] Length of Thread Preview vB 4.2 PL2

Okay, this has been asked at vb.org and here is the thread: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=287590

    Here is the original post:

Okay first let me say that I've been searching for a while and coming up empty handed for vB 4.2 PL2.

    Here: https://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/...s_forumdisplay

And I've read a couple of post about going to AdminCP >> Settings > Options > Forum Listings Display Options and finding "Length of thread preview" and set it to 0.

However I do not have that option in vB 4.2. Using Firebug I've determined that the location of the thread preview is in forumlastpost td, but where from there can I make changes to not show the mouse over effect?

I've attached a pic so you can see what I'm talking about. I wouldn't have a problem with it but it is showing the HTML code that I used for username markup. I want to disable that mouse over effect, I just need to know where to do it.

Thanks for any help you can provide! If this option was removed from vB 4.2, then it needs to be replaced!

The mod that I'm using is User Name HTML Markup 4.1: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=229146
After looking over the original XML file, there is not an on mouse over event that takes place, so this leaves me to believe that the change has to be made in vB source code. With the assistance and direction of "nerbert", I have removed all occurrences of title="{vb:raw thread.preview}" from "threadbit" & "search_threadbit" without any glory.

Is there someone here that can assist me in achieving this sad, but true problem that I'm facing. There are many others that will be happy for a solution as well. Thank you for your time. If you would like to see it in action you may visit my site at http://www.place4musicians.com/music Username: Guest Password: Guest1234 Select the Forums Tab.

You do not have to use the username and password above, but it does give you access to view links and pictures in the forum. You will see the problem if you mouse over the username on the "Last Post By" area. Again thanks for any help you may be able to provide me.
