[Forum] No new registration emails since upgrade to 4.2.0

Since upgrading to 4.2.0 on 8/22 I have not received a new registration email. I don't even know where to begin troubleshooting. Users are getting the activation email but I stopped getting emails of new registrations or emails from forums where I asked to be notified of new posts and threads. Can anyone point me in the right direction to begin troubleshooting?

I would suggest you turn off email queuing and see if that helps.

Admin CP -> Settings -> Options -> Email Options -> Use Mailqueue System -> No

The Mailqueue needs a site with regular traffic throughout the day to be useful, not every forum works like that... and for most sending emails isn't really a problem.

Thanks Joe D. that did the trick. I'm getting the emails again.

I get over 1000 visitors per day and do not understand why using the mailqueue system does not work.

Using the mailqueue system will work if you set it up properly. The default is to send 10 emails per batch and for a busy forum, that is just going to backup the queue. So, if you look over the settings and set them up properly for your forum, then it should work just fine.
