How to make this image option be unchecked by default.

We want the check mark next to "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" to be unchecked by default when adding an image. Don't know how to do it.

There's no way to have the box unticked directly, as the code for it is contained in a CKEditor.js file.

You can however turn off the advanced popup so you just get a traditional box that will hotlink the image:

AdminCP > Settings > Options > Message Attachment Options > Advanced Insert Image Popup - Enable
