    [Forum] Paid Subscription Workaround

If I want to grant someone a Paid Subscription to my site, but do not want them to pay, how do I give them 1 year without their doing so?

    Thanks,

    Jack

My problem is, I can see how to mark them as "Subscribed" ... but I do not see how to adjust their subscription time period.

I can see how to do so with a normal paid subscriber, but not with someone I manually enter in.

If you go to their account in admincp click the quick links drop down menu top left. Add paid subscription. Once they are subscribed the option to adjust dates is on the right of that users screen in admincp

      Thank you.

Don't know why, but I cannot see this option to adjust dates.

Can you clarify what you mean by "on the right of that user's screen"?

Yes, I just checked a properly-Paid User in the ACP ... and compared it to the manually-added user ... and the Paid Subscriptions adjustment option does NOT show up when I add a paid Subscription manually.

      This is the problem.

I just tried manually adding a paid subscription to a user and then when I view that account the dates and edit function are on the right.

          Thank you for this!

Now, how do I delete the Paid Subscription if I want to? (I can't seem to make that extra subscription disappear, even if it expires.)

You can go into the Subscription manager under paid subscriptions and remove them. Though be aware it can take up to 24 hours to remove them, assuming they've logged on since the last time the cron had run.
