    [Forum] mobile phone white screen

Iphone and others were working fine with http://www.energyscienceforum.com

Someone with a Galaxy S2 said it didn't work.

I saw some posts about a redirect in mobile template - custom "adv_portal"
and put html redirect in there for forum.php.

It just put it in an endless redirect loop.

I removed that coding and now iphone doesn't work either. Just a white screen.

When removing that coding, shouldn't it just go back to normal?

I reimported the mobile xls file but still no go.

Rerun install/upgrade.php. Do not import any external XML files related to Mobile Styles. vBulletin 4.2.0 installs the proper one for its version during upgrade.

      DB was backed up.
      Hook system disabled.
      Forum turned off.
Did install/upgrade.php and got this error:

      Startup Errors
Due to the following errors, the install/upgrade can not continue:
      • Following is a list of files that are either missing or contain unexpected contents. The most likely cause is that all of the files from this release have not been properly uploaded. You should resolve this error before continuing.
/index.php - File does not contain expected contents

As a note, before from the iphone google app or in safari, I could go to the forum and it would look like it does from a regular computer browser like firefox, etc... I'd like to get that back.

The upgrader should actually have a button to disregard the error and continue.

To not use a mobile style, you need to set the mobile styles to NONE under Settings -> Options -> Style & Language Settings.

Thanks Wayne, I did see that button but didn't want to mess anything up. I'll try again and will use that.
