[Forum] Excluding a specific forum from being displayed on the activity stream altogether

Hi, I'm running a news mostly forum and I have added a subforum that has RSS updates from various source. The thing is that I would like this to not appear on the activity stream as it floods it and several users have complained that other content "gets lost" among all those rss feeds.

Is there a way to set, either in the forum settings or the activity stream settings, an exclusion of specific forums?

    Thanks

    Couple of suggestions here:

    Vote for:

    - Admin Settable Paid Subscription Reminder Timeframe (vB6)
    - Add Admin ability to auto-subscribe users to specific channel(s) (vB6)

Hi and thanks for the reply.

I had followed the instructions given there and it doesn't seem to work. I've set up a hook as suggested to excluded forum number 32 (the rss forum i want to hide from the activity stream) but i've checked and the new messages are still appearing on the stream.

Here are the settings i used (excuse me for the hebrew - i hope this is clear enough), could I have gotten the syntax wrong?

It is not possible by default, but the activity stream is based on permissions. So anything you can see it will pull from. Same is true of other users permissions.

So basically I cannot choose what the activity displays and what it doesn't? It would be a useful feature to be able to exclude a forum, regardless of permissions...
