    [Forum] Birth Date Changes

Two regular users have reported that they get this when they try to change their birth date:

I've checked permissions for Registered Members, but I don't need anything regarding birth dates, and they're allowed to edit their profile.

Do you have the COPPA system enabled?

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

But if you look at each of these users in the admincp, do they have the COPPA user flag set to Yes or No?

          They're both on No.

So only those two users cannot change their birthdays? Or only those two have spoken up to say they can't change it?

What do you have for AdminCP > Settings > Options > user profile options > Require Date of Birth? If that is set to yes, then they cannot change it.

When this option is enabled, users will be required to enter a valid date of birth when registering. Any users without a birthday will be required to enter one when modifying their profile. A valid birth year is from 1902 to the current year. Once a date of birth has been entered, the user will not be allowed to change it.

Those two users are the only ones that have reported it. Not sure about the others.

However, that was set to yes.

              Changed.

Edit: I suppose I could also keep it on requiring it, but have a notice that says to not give false information. One of our users falsely said he was 62 for the fun of it.
