    [Forum] Alternative of Email cue?

    Hi

    Dears,

I want to know that is there some alternative system to the email cue. because if there is some special event and we want to send the email to our users and the users are around 10,000. Then it will take around 3-4 days to deliver them the desired email and the many of the users will get the email even many days after the actual event.

Any quick way to send mass mail?

    Please Guide.

    Thanks in Advance.

    Best Regards,
    RFI

Turn off the email queue and send them directly.

    Or

Use an SMTP account that isn't on your main server.

Settings -> Options -> Email Options.

They are on the same exact page if you look at it.

We can't provide the parameter values. Where we can guess on parameters, we have provided a default value. Your SMTP provider has to give them to you. The benefits are that you can use a separate server for email so there is minimal impact on your webserver. This means you can usually send higher volumes of mail without problems. Many people offload their email to GMAIL this way or they get a separate email only account from their webhosting provider for a few dollars a month. Plus SMTP tends to be encrypted instead of open plain text like standard email.

You activate it simply by feeling in the values and setting the option SMTP EMAIL to yes and filling in the other SMTP values. If you look at the inline help there is more information.
