[Forum] Fixed forum & LARGE images (Removing Scorllbars)

    Hello guys,

I need help and wondered if someone can answer this??? My forum is a fixed width, and when someone attaches a large image (hosted elsewhere) it cuts off the image and inserts horizontal scroll bars... which is horrible! (I DON'T want to automatically resize the image.)

    Here is what it does....

I would like it to do this.... (where it extends just the post beyond the forum width)

Anyone have any suggestions on how to accomplish what image #2 shows??? THANK YOU!

    Josh

I use a Javascript image resizer modification, such as this one:

Note that with modifications you don't officially get support for the core product, but it's a simple mod that you can easily disable in such circumstances.

There's not a way I'm personally familiar with other than an auto-resizing modification or code modification. Perhaps someone at vbulletin.org has an idea.

It used to push the postbit out in vB3, it might be worth downloading and installing a test copy of vB3 (behind htaccess) and looking at the templates.
I'd look for you myself but I currently have no vB3 install up.
