    [Forum] Invalid sql table session

Well now we get this kind of error ad one of our admins reports.

    Database error in vBulletin 4.1.7:

    Invalid SQL:

    UPDATE session
    SET lastactivity = 1340511485, location = '/index.php', badlocation = 0
    WHERE sessionhash = '60bcc5d50b964774945e3e7eaa33a679';

MySQL Error : UPDATE command denied to user 'afiusr'@'192.168.100.175' for table 'session'
    Error Number : 1142
    Request Date : Saturday, June 23rd 2012 @ 09:18:05 PM
    Error Date : Saturday, June 23rd 2012 @ 09:18:05 PM
    Script : http://antifraudintl.org/index.php
    Referrer :
    IP Address : 114.187.34.119
    Username : Dororo
    Classname : vB_Database
    MySQL Version : 5.5.22

And when she tries to go into admin she gets:
    No input file specified.
I tried to update the indexes and it was working fine for a few hours but now it seems to have stopped.

I have no idea why it does this.

That is a server issue. The user isn't allowed to run the UPDATE command on the database. If the user does have permissions to run that command, then you need to talk to your host about the error. Your mysql user needs to be granted ALL privileges to your database.

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

Okay, thank you. Problems with server.... that happens. About every other day.

How did I get to this problem, or, did I do something stupid again?

When you create a database, you also either assign a user or assign a existing user to the database. The user you have assigned to this database does not have ALL PRIVILEGES as see in this video

Around the 2min and 32 sec part .

TY, TheLast Superman. That almost made sense the first time I listened to it. A few more times and I will understand it.

I wonder how I missed assign privileges. Well I miss many things. I'm new.

Now if I could fiugure out how to install phpMyadmin I would be doing really well.

You could always ask your web hosting provider to install phpmyadmin.

@ Andy, I could ask my host to do that, if I trusted them. but I may change hosts anyway soon.
