What about if the Navigation Manager does not show what is in actually being shown in the Navigation Bar?

I just upgraded to vBulletin 4.1.0 Patch Level 3 and I cannot edit a navigation tab which was carried over from the older version of vBulletin.

4.1.0 is a very old version and has no navigation manager. Do you mean 4.2.0? If so, then you need to revert your customised navbar template and re-apply the changes using the navigation manager. Keep a copy of the old template for reference.

Beyond that, please start your own thread with full details of the problem.

Ok thanks...my advice above is correct, your previous customised navbar won't now work and you'll need to revert the navbar template and recreate the links with the navigation manager.

Alternatively....if you really don't want to lose the old navbar you could in theory leave the template unreverted and just manage it like you used to, but in this situation the new navigation manager will simply not work and to change the navbar you would need to edit the template, as you used to. This second method is not officially supported though, and may cause issues if future upgrades make changes to the navbar.

Yet... all older modifications that inserted custom navtabs would work as they were meant too, currently the correct way is to revert as Mark stated however I know a few who have left the template as-is due to having custom drop-down tabs and more in place it really just depends but best way is per Mark (i.e. revert template then manually add in any "modification/other/new" tabs.
