    [Forum] Default Thread Subscription Mode

    Hi,

With the aid of Wayne Luke, I had 'great fun' going the following route to get the site transferred and upgraded:
I recommend the following course of action.
    1) Backup your database.
    2) Upgrade your 3.6.4 forums to 3.8.7 PL2
    3) Backup your database.
    4) Upgrade your MySQL installation to a later version. Maintain your same character set and collation as your current database.
    5) Upgrade your database as necessary (look at the MySQL documentation)
    6) Backup your database.
    7) Upgrade your PHP version.
    8) Upgrade to vBulletin 4.X.
    9) Backup your database.
With some hickups along the way we eventually got there but, it seems that the 'Default Thread Subscription Mode' does not work as no-one gets messages. Any thoughts?

If you are on 4.2, make sure you know about the new feature: "Cron Based Email Sending"
