    [Forum] Problem with Navigation Manager

I just upgraded from 4.1.12 to 4.2.0. I'm trying to get what shows up when the user hits the "What's New" link to look somewhat similar to what I see here on this forum. I'd like it to show links for "Activity Stream", "New Posts", and "Forums Read" ... but after I make what appear to be the appropriate changes in the Navigation Manager, the correct links do not appear. I have included a few snapshots of what I'm talking about. Any idea what I'm doing wrong, or need to do in order to accomplish this? Thanks!

Here's a shot of my Navigation Manager settings:

And here's a shot of my forum after clicking on "What's New":

Create a new style with no parent:
    • Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style
    • Parent Style: No Parent Style
    • Title: Default vBulletin
    • Allow User Selection: Yes
    • Save

Then browse the site using that totally default vbulletin style - can you see the links now?

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

I did the above on my TEST FORUM on a different domain - and then when I switch to the newly-created "Default vBulletin" style you had me create, then I do see the links as they should appear.

How do I get this to look right on a style other than the one I just created? Should it not always behave the same for all styles, based on the Nav Mgr settings?

Okay - I am working fine now. I forgot to go into AdminCP -> Options -> Style & Language Settings, and then set my new Style as the Default Style. My bad - sorry!

I have two styles/skins (no idea what they're called actually) and the default one does not show the tabs added with Navigation Manager. Our custom one does.

How do I make the Navigation Manager work for all Styles?
          Welcome, Paul..

You would need to revert the navbar template in the style that it isn't working in- but reverting a template will lose all/any customization you've made- it is the customization that is breaking it in the first place.

Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> (Broken Style) -> Edit Templates, find the navbar template and click the "Revert" button. Perhaps make a copy first (just copy the template code into notebook) in case you want to go back.

Would this be the correct one?

No, try the red marked 'navbar' template (take care of that you'll lose any customization you've made to it)

                  Hi,

That seems to have worked without any problems (that I've noticed :P ) Thanks.

By the way, any time we make changes to the tabs, do you we need to perform that action?

                  Thanks in advance!
