[Forum] Avatar images Broken or Too Big in different areas of the forum since 4.2.0 upgrade

    For the new activity stream:
All images appear too big and the text is overlapping them. This happens using Chrome and IE (that's I've tested thus far).

In the widgets in the forum that show recent blog posts and in the blog:
All avatar images of the poster are broken.

I was reading some existing thread last night and one user recommended updating the forum and custom avatars. I tried this last night and it didn't fix the problem.

Can anyone offer some advice? This has only been a problem since I updated vB to 4.2.0 earlier this week.

    My site is: www.magicdeckvortex.com

And you best see the problems here:

    Thank you in advance.

When you tried rebuilding them, did you get any errors? Have you verified the thumbnail avatars were all created and put into the /thumbs directory? And did you Rebuild Custom Avatar Thumbnails and Rebuild Avatar Thumbnails?

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

Lynne, Thank you for the reply. I checked the avatars to ensure they were created and the regular avatar thumbnails were but the custom avatar thumbnails were not. I did not have the right "write" settings for the folder. I am trying the rebuild again. I will let you know what happens.

Sorry for the double-post. OK - this worked mostly.

However, the thumbnails in the Forum Blocks for CMS Articles and Recent Posts are broken and they are asking for a different avatar thumbnail than other areas are:

              For instance for one user:
http://www.magicdeckvortex.com/forum/customavatars/thumbs/avatar916_9.gif (GGCrono - My Friends Activity Widget)
              http://www.magicdeckvortex.com/forum/customavatars/thumbs/avatar916_9.gif (GGCrono - Activity Stream)
http://www.magicdeckvortex.com/forum/customavatars/thumbs/avatar916_8.gif (GGCrono - Forum Block CMS Articles)

The Forum Block thumbnail is broken and there is no ..._8.gif version of the thumbnail on the server.

Is it possible the coding for the Forum Blocks is old and needs to be updated and if so where can I get those? Thank you.

I see the avatars in the forum blocks just fine.

That's strange. I just noticed that as well. Either I'm losing my mind or I'm losing my mind.

Thank you, Lynne, for your help.
