    [Forum] strange registration SQL error with hvanswer

    Just last night, I started getting the following SQL errors:

    Code:
    [FONT=arial]Database error in vBulletin 4.1.12:[/FONT]

    [FONT=arial]Invalid SQL:[/FONT]
    [FONT=arial]SELECT *[/FONT]
    [FONT=arial]   FROM hvanswer[/FONT]
    [FONT=arial]   where questionid='2'[/FONT]
    [FONT=arial]   and answer='-1'';[/FONT]

    [FONT=arial]MySQL Error : You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ''-1''' at line 4[/FONT]
    [FONT=arial]Error Number  : 1064[/FONT]
    [FONT=arial]Request Date  : Friday, May 11th 2012 @ 06:39:41 AM[/FONT]
    [FONT=arial]Error Date    : Friday, May 11th 2012 @ 06:39:41 AM[/FONT]
    [FONT=arial]Script        : [/FONT][URL]http://www.blincmagazine.com/forum/register.php[/URL]
    [FONT=arial]Referrer      :[/FONT]
    [FONT=arial]IP Address    : 91.207.61.66[/FONT]
    [FONT=arial]Username      : 1[/FONT]
    [FONT=arial]Classname     : vB_Database[/FONT]
    [FONT=arial]MySQL Version :[/FONT]
    I got about 35 errors in 3 minutes.

    1. Is this an error from some SPAM bot trying to register?

    2. Is this an error that I need to address either in the PHP code, or in the data in my database?
    Thank You...Mick Knutson

    Have you tried registering to see if you get the error also?

      I just moved my FB app from one account to the other and am working on that test now. Will report back to this thread ASAP with findings.
