[Forum] Former Admin entering and changing his usergroup

I am running vbulletin 4.1. How is a demoted former admin entering into forums that are member only, and how is he changing his user classification back to "not moderated"? Nothing is showing in the logs.

I have taken all entries I can see, plus double checked the config php file. No other moderator is leaving tracks as to somene changing it for him...

I have had a falling out with him and he is posting harmfull things.

    I am puzzled. Any ideas?

I do not really wish to ban him outright. He is a valid hobbyist. I do not want to get vindictive, and am attempting to "take the high road". Banning would be the ultimate solution.... But how is he doing it? Can that method get around a ban block?

Tell him to come clean or you will ban him. I can't think of anything unless he has given himself superadmin permissions in config but you say youve checked that

I can only back up the config php file and if something happens, Only I have server access.

Have you spoke to him about it?

Make sure he isn't a super admin or has rights to delete logs in the config.php file.

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

I checked the super admin in config php. He is not listed as his member number. I am the only one listed who can delete logs.

Send him a pm saying there is a problem with his account and you have to delete it, tell him he is welcome to re-register with a new account.

Have you checked your access_logs to see exactly what he is doing? (If you don't know where they are, ask your host.)

Two questions, 1 are there any promotions in the "moderated" group? and 2 is he a member of another group? If both answers are no, create a new group (that's moderated) and stick him in it to see if he gets out of that one.
