We are having issues with bots posting hard core porn on our forum. What is the best way to prevent this? They are putting pornographic photos in the posts. We have it turned on so that they have to answer a question and validate their accounts.

That alone won''t help especially if they are human spammers. If I were you I would set up the post moderation and install a few mods that will prevent posting links until an user has a certain amount of posts or has been a registered member for a certain amount of time. -
How about you manually approving all of your members. That way you can delete the bots that keep on posting.Aussiefootyforums

You can also have it set up to where you can moderate the first few posts a new user makes. Wayne posted a guide about this, it was written for 3.8.x but it'll work fine in 4.x as well.Comment
