    [Forum] Database Error. Possible Hacking Attempt?

    I received an email with the following database error. It looks to be a possible hacking attempt. Is there any known vulnerabilities from this?

    Database error in vBulletin :

    mysql_connect() [<a href='function.mysql-connect'>function.mysql-connect</a>]: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

      That is a real page but the mysql error was

        The error means it couldn't connect to your MySQL server at the time it was generated. If this is a lone error, then you can chalk it up to a glitch in the matrix. If you received many copies of the error, then MySQL was down on your server for some reason and if you're still getting the error then it needs to be restarted. Contact your hosting provider. There is nothing we can do to prevent this error provided your config.php information is correct.

          Thanks Wayne. It was just that lone error.
