[Forum] Advanced post editor icons not showing up

    Hi,

The icons in the advanced post editor do not show. I have not modified the paths for any of the forum images. Any ideas how to fix it?

    Thanks,

    Dean

Make sure that the Mobile Style settings here are not set to the normal default style (i.e. they're set to the Mobile Style or None):

AdminCP > Settings > Options > Style & Language Settings

If you see the grey area but not the buttons themselves, make sure you've uploaded the images/editor directory to your server and to any custom style folders you have
    Vote for:

    - Admin Settable Paid Subscription Reminder Timeframe (vB6)
    - Add Admin ability to auto-subscribe users to specific channel(s) (vB6)

Here is what I am seeing on the forum. I checked the folder as you suggested and there are images there. I saw three, how many should there be? Also I set the default style to my style instead of "default" and then took this screenshot. What is odd is that if I refresh the screen, one or two of the icons show up, but never all of them. The icons do appear on the quick reply.

Go to Styles & Templates -> Style Manager. Choose Style Variable Editor for your style. Scroll down to imgdir_editor and revert the style variable so it is set to its default.

I reverted it, but it didnt change anything as it was never changed from default. No change after refresh, advanced editor icons still missing.

          Thanks,

Are you running any components in a separate folder? Make sure to upload the new contents of the appropriate folder in the do_not_upload folder. They contain a key rewrite to ckeditor.php which is located in your forum root directory.

Except for changing style colors, everything is default. No icon/images changed at all. Is there a list of files that should be in the images folder to compare?

              Thanks,

              Dean

I just went in and was going to do a test reply and now the quick reply icons arn't showing except for the "unlink" icon. Weird.

                Thanks,

Re-upload your PHP files, especially ckeditor.php.

Did that... still no icons. I was thinking about this... could changing the icon background color effect the display of the icons?

                    Thanks,

it could. They aren't designed to show up on very dark backgrounds.

You'll have to open a support ticket at https://www.vbulletin.com/go/techsupport. The steps in this post should have resolved most cases already. I suspect it is a bad file upload but can't verify that in a forum thread.

Did anyone get to the bottom of this? I have been having the very same issue for the past couple of months with my IE users through various recent versions of vB.

I have a completely standard style and it works fine in all browsers with the exception of IE
