    CMS widgets within Forum?

I have read through the doc and search through the this forum, maybe what I want to do cannot be done.

I was hoping to use the CMS (create sections, layouts and widgets) features with my Forums. I see that you can enable blocks on the left or right. However, that is limited and only works for the main list of forums (forum.php).

I was hoping to not only use CMS, but have it apply to forumdisplay.php use and showthread.php use.

Hopefully, this is something simple that I have just missed the boat on here? Any help or thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Eric

You cannot have the widgets in the rest of the forums.

Well, you can, it would just take a lot of customized code.

shame, i was looking for this, is there a way to make a menu option that will open the blocks in the top menu, at least members will have access to the blocks without the need to go back to the home page?

There is a modification on vbulletin.org that puts the Forum Sidebar into other pages:

          Vote for:

          - Admin Settable Paid Subscription Reminder Timeframe (vB6)
          - Add Admin ability to auto-subscribe users to specific channel(s) (vB6)

Ok - well thanks. I am upgrading our site from 3.8 to 4.1.11 and had purchased the CMS option thinking we could get rid of vbadvanced. I will go back and see if they support/run with vb4.x.

By changing the amount of size alloted to them in their respective grid. You may want to read the CMS documentation if you are new to the CMS.

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

I am trying to make a 3-column site, but I can only go 25/50/25.

I don't see any way I can customize it to be 20/60/20 or 15/70/15.

You can do a 2 column layout, with a sidebar for a total of 3.

That is what I have now, but the same problem remains: I have a minimum of a 25%/75% option, with a sidebar.

                          I would prefer a 15-20% option with a sidebar.

It seems 25% is the smallest I can make the lefthand widgets, and I would only like them to take 15-20%.

You would need to flatten your grid, and then edit the CSS to match what you want.
