    open as that thread
    Code:

Also, don't fall for "SEO scammers" and their "advice" on this subject.
Just listen to what Google themselves say:
Duplicate content is a huge topic in the search engine optimization (SEO) space; heck, we even have a category devoted to the topic. But should we worry

        thanks for your advice,
but from google webmaster center, they said under (HTML improvement)
and its shown in (duplicate meta tag), (duplicate title), (duplicate meta description).. because both links have same content
lets say its not SEO, but its improvement

thats also happened in vbulletin archive, so I redirect 301 all archive links to actual thread and post , and disable archive

is that what I'm doing is wrong ?

You will need to change to seo friendly url's to sort that issue but that would mean redirecting all the
showthread.php? urls's already indexed to the new seo friendly url's

You need to manage it manually
it's best way at this time or you need to hire a freelancer to do that for you.

I don't think you need to worry about it. VB4 automatically puts the canonical URL in the header of the page. The canonical URL tells Google to always use the thread URL when viewing the page, not he post URL.
