[Forum] Reordering a Forum with Threads first then Subforum

We just started a book club on our A Nun's Life Community forum. In one of the sub forums, we have the name of the book and a series of child forums under that, one for each of the chapters. I created a few stickies (e.g. reading schedule, general conversation) that fall under the book forum (not the individual chapters). These threads get lost because they are below the all the chapters (child forums). Is it possible to have the threads for this forum alone appear above the chapters (child forums)? Here's a shot of what it looks like now:

This requires editing templates to accomplish. If you want this done only in this forum, you will need to create a new style and assign the style to the forum in the Forum Manager.

After doing that you would need to edit the FORUMDISPLAY template.

Thanks, Wayne! I'm familiar with but not terribly great at working with the templates and code. Let me see if I understand ... Since I want to have the same look and feel of the forum, I could duplicate my existing style (I assume that's possible though not sure how). I keep the entire forum on the original style BUT I take this forum and switch it over to the newly duped one. Then in that newly duped style I make the changes you indicated above. Now, could I put that code in either the Book Club Forum (of which this book is a sub forum) or in any of its sub forum?

You would want to make a child style of your current one. You can do this by going to the Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager. Click Add New Style and fill out the form. Set the Parent to your current active style.

Then go to Admin CP -> Forums & Moderators -> Forum Manager and edit your forum where you want the change to appear. Set the Style to the one you created above and set the option to Override the User's Choice to Yes.

Then finally, in your new style, make the change that I posted above. You only need to change the FORUMDISPLAY template. Everything else will be inherited from the Parent Style you're already using.

You are awesome! Thanks for the step-by-step instructions. I've got it, I think! Here's what it looks like now:

I used the new style you helped me create for just the individual book forum (not the overarching book club forum). And I'm not sure how this happened but I've got this cool feature on the Book Club page -- it shows the book forum but all the chapters (child forums) don't all show up (which was confusing) but rather they are like a mini index!
