File version mismatch: found 4.2.2 Patch Level 1, expected 1.4.3

Was just going through suspect files and notices I have hundreds of files associated with the API that are showing a mismatch:

File version mismatch: found 4.2.2 Patch Level 1, expected 1.4.3

I redownloaded vb and reuploaded those files but still getting the same thing. Any idea why it is expecting 1.4.3?

You shouldn't upload the vBulletin 3.X API on your 4.X installation. It breaks all sorts of things. vBulletin 4 comes with its own API. You need to uninstall any API plugin you have installed. Then you need to replace all your files from a clean vBulletin 4.2.2 download. This means that you will need to delete all your vBulletin files and replace them with your vBulletin 4.X files.

      Wayne,

I don't understand. To the best of my knowledge, I haven't uploaded the vB3 API (We did upgrade this site about a year ago from vB3 and it did have the vB3 API then).

To the best of my knowledge, we don't have any API plugins.

As I mentioned in OP, I just downloaded a fresh copy of 4.2.2 and overwrote all the API files that are showing as mismatches.

Are you saying there is some other residual file left over somewhere that is calling for 1.4.3 even though I have 4.2.2 uploaded?

Only thing that would cause this issue is that there are files left over from the 3.X API from when it was installed. What md5*.php files do you have in your includes directory?

              md5_sums_crawlability_sitemap.php
              md5_sums_crawlability_vbseo.php
              md5_sums_mass_pm.php
              md5_sums_vbmobile_3api.php
              md5_sums_vbulletin.php

I should be able to take out the crawlability files since we aren't using vbseo anymore and I am guessing that vbmobile3api file is the issue? Is this safe to delete?

                Yes. It should be deleted.
