When we type into the quick reply (or other CKeditor windows) on our site there seems to be a lag and the first few keystrokes are lost
Further, on dark skin, the text area flashes white for an instant.
I can reproduce the behaviour here on vb.com...
Our members see this as simply losing the first few characters they type.
The issue is much more obvious with a dark skin.
I traced the javascript with Firebug and noticed that when I click in the QR window an ajax call gets fired 'do=editorswitch'.
It maybe that being in Australia and our site being hosted in the USA that the turn around on the ajax call is slower than some might expect.
However, the 'net is global and some people are a long way from the server as well as being on slow links.
I have a feeling the initial ajax call is probably redundant.
