Help with SEO

Hi,
I'm not sure if this is the right forum / category to post this.
Looking around on how to add a like button on my forum I came accross a post where someone recommended to go for the VBSEO package. Since I care a lot about SEO too it came as good news that there are packs out there specifically for this purpose. That post is from a few years ago and would like to know if there is any other recommendation as of this date and while we're here in case I change my mind and go for the latest vbulletin 5 if I will be able to install such pack or have to buy another one for that version.

In vB4 and vB5 you don't need SEO add ons. In vB4 you can set "friendly URLs" and in vB5 you get them by default.
You can't use vBSEO anyhow as the company that made and sold the product has closed down.

VB4 old news. VB5 and why energy should focus on this

I really don't know what everyone's complaining about. Sorry this forum isn't hack able yet, not many add ons nor themes. Sucks, don't it? Everyone who bought this software knew what they were getting...

So I noticed the new version is out. I just got new forum license set up with a vB4 about a month ago. Since I have added mods to it and just kind of gotten all set up the way I want it for the most part...

vb4 URLs to vb5?

I get Invalid URL errors when visiting old links to my vb4 pages. Is there something I'm doing wrong in htaccess? Or is this configured somewhere else? My vb4 forum was at /forums and I uploaded vb5...
