    [Forum] autologin hook

Is there some information/advice somewhere on what the various hooks are good for?

On our v3.84 Message Board, we implemented an autologin based on a cookie/token that was generated by our CRMS (iMIS15). The way it worked was to recognize that someone had a valid token set in their browser and silently log them in whenever they navigated to the Message Board. That no longer works. I have tried quite a few hooks and they all seem to be happy giving me a white screen.

Is it true that the whole approach to screen rendering has been changed in v4?

There has been no response to this issue either here or on vb.org for over 6 months now.

The do_login_redirect() appears to block any kind of auto recognition of a cookie that leads to a login. If I have the users click on a button to activate the login using the information passed via a cookie and SOAP it works, but it used to be transparent and I would like it to be again.

Discussions and support for custom coding needs to be directed at vBulletin.org. Also, as a note, it's hard to debug code that you can't see.
